1. Who we are
Yala Hurghada (referred to in these terms as "we", "us" or "Yala") is a tour booking service based in Hurghada, Egypt, operating at El Mamsha St, Touristic Villages, Hurghada 84511, Egypt. We curate and resell tourism experiences from carefully selected local operators in the Red Sea Governorate. Our website is yala-hurghada.com.
2. Booking and confirmation
A booking is created when you submit the booking form on a trip page and receive an email confirmation containing your booking reference. The reference looks like YH-YYYY-NNNN and is also visible on screen at checkout. Until you receive this email, no contract is formed. We confirm the exact pickup time by WhatsApp the evening before the trip date.
You are responsible for providing accurate name, email, phone and hotel information. Misinformation that prevents pickup is not refundable.
3. Pricing and payment
Prices on the site are per person, in the currency shown (default EUR), and include all stated inclusions such as transfer, lunch and equipment unless the trip page notes otherwise. Payment may be made online during booking (Visa, Mastercard) or in cash to the driver or captain on the day, in EUR, USD or EGP. Currency conversion is at the day's market rate.
Online payments are processed by our card partner under their own terms; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
4. Cancellation and refunds
- Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the trip's start time receive a 100% refund within 7 working days.
- Cancellations made within 24 hours are non-refundable because the boat, jeep, instructor or therapist has been blocked for you.
- If we cancel due to weather, mechanical issue or any operator-side reason, you receive a full refund or the option to rebook for any future date.
- No-shows at the agreed pickup window are treated as same-day cancellations and are non-refundable. The driver waits 15 minutes from the agreed time.
5. Changes by you
You can change the date, the number of travellers, the pickup hotel or the add-on selections by WhatsApp or email up to 24 hours before the trip. We re-confirm in writing. Date changes inside 24 hours are subject to availability.
6. On-trip conduct
You agree to follow the captain's, instructor's or guide's safety instructions at all times. Operators reserve the right to refuse service to guests who are intoxicated, behave in a way that endangers themselves or others, or refuse standard safety briefings. In such cases the trip is not refundable.
7. Health, age and ability
You confirm at booking that all listed travellers are physically and medically fit for the trip you have booked, with reference to the minimum-age and difficulty notes on the trip page. Scuba diving is subject to a PADI medical questionnaire. Pregnant travellers must declare pregnancy at booking; specific trips may not be suitable. Notify us at booking of any condition that may affect participation so we can advise.
8. Insurance
Yala Hurghada strongly recommends comprehensive travel insurance that covers water sports, desert activities and medical evacuation. Yala Hurghada does not provide travel insurance.
9. Liability
Yala Hurghada acts as an intermediary between travellers and the local operators delivering each experience. We undertake to select operators who meet recognised safety and licensing standards. To the maximum extent permitted by Egyptian law, our liability for any loss or damage arising from a trip is limited to the amount paid for that booking. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
10. Photography and content
Captains and guides occasionally photograph trips for promotional use. If you do not wish to appear in our photography, tell the crew at the start of the day. Reviews and photos you submit to us may be displayed on the site, with your first name and country of residence, unless you ask us to remove them.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. The version that applies to your booking is the version live on the site at the time you booked.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Any dispute will be subject to the competent courts of the Red Sea Governorate.
