Red Sea Horse Riding in Hurghada (Beach and Desert)

This is the Hurghada horse ride that does both sides of the landscape in one go: the quiet desert behind the coast and the open Red Sea beach in front of it. We collect you from your hotel and drive to our stable near the shore, where you meet your horse and get a short briefing. The horses are well-kept, calm and used to first-time riders, and a guide rides with the group the whole way, walking beside anyone who has never been in a saddle. You ride out across the desert flats, then turn down onto the beach and along the waterline. If conditions are right and you want to, the guide takes you and the horse a little way into the shallows for the classic Red Sea swim with the horse, the photo everyone comes back for. You can book a sunrise slot for cool air and soft light or a late-afternoon slot for the sunset over the water. Pace is yours: a gentle walk the whole way, or a trot and canter on the open stretches once the guide sees you are comfortable. Round-trip hotel transfer is included.
